During the entire month of June, 2018, Roemer’s Point S Tire & Auto Service in Missoula is lending support to YWCA Missoula. Throughout the month, Roemer’s is donating a percentage of all sales to help the YWCA Missoula and their efforts to support domestic violence survivors and local families in crisis. Utilizing radio, television, and print, as well as Facebook, Roemer’s is shining a spotlight on the YWCA’s mission of empowering women.
According to owner John Roemer, “We’re currently celebrating our 64th Anniversary in business. This is the 4th year that we have used our anniversary to leverage community awareness and monetary support for a local non-profit. My partners selected YWCA Missoula to be the focus of this year’s donation because of the many ways the YWCA helps people in our area who really need a hand.”
YWCA Missoula provides shelter and support for women, children and men who are survivors of domestic and sexual violence. Many people aren’t aware that the YWCA is also the primary housing provider for homeless families with children in Missoula. In fact, last year, their programs housed over 900 people, including nearly 500 children.
Roemer says, “As a locally owned business in downtown Missoula, we think it’s only right to invest in our community in a way that the large, remotely owned box stores simply don’t. With any luck, we will raise over $2500 for the YWCA this summer.”
“We feel that folks these days are motivated to do business with locally owned companies, like Roemer’s, which are actively supporting local Missoula community organizations,” says Roemer.
