Jack Roemer started the legacy of what is now Roemer’s Tire Factory in June 1953 when he took ownership of a Conoco station in Missoula on the northwest corner of Main and Pattee. Now sitting one block north and called Roemer’s Tire Factory and owned by son, John Roemer, the business is celebrating its 60th Anniversary in 2013.
As part of the Anniversary festivities, Roemer’s is celebrating Founder’s Week from June 17 – 21 and offering special sales and events to note the occasion. Wednesday, June 19 has been designated Founder’s Day with founder Jack Roemer in the store from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Customers, friends and former employees are encouraged to drop by and say hi, have some cake, Craven’s Coffee and conversation. We’re really excited to see folks we may not have seen for a good long while!
In addition to Founder’s Week events, Roemer’s is celebrating its 60th Anniversary by extending 60 Acts of Kindness to the Missoula community, one for each year that Roemer’s has been in business. Our Acts of Kindness will range from small everyday things, to our plan to raise at least $5000 for Missoula Aging Services. For full details, see our 60th Anniversary press release here.
As part of our effort to raise funds for Missoula Aging Services, Roemer’s is participating in a contest with other Tire Factory Stores to get the most “Likes” on its Facebook page in the month of June. Each participating store puts $100 into the kitty and the store that wins receives the full amount to donate to the organization of its choice. If you haven’t already “Liked” our Facebook page, please help us win! Just go to our Facebook page and click “Like.” (The “Like” button sits right below the main photo.) If we win, all proceeds will go to Missoula Aging Services. Thanks in advance for your support!
We invite you to stop by the store on Founder’s Day and say hello! And of course, we’re always here to provide you with the tires and auto repair Missoula residents have come to expect!
